Most of the people I've talked to say the wireless doesn't work. I've decided to go wired, now the issue is networked or not? In a cruising environment, do I really care that all the instuments talk to each other? I can get a new, depth/speed/temp/wind system for $600 non-networked. A similiar networked system is around $2000. As long as the GPS and mapping system can talk, what do I care about the other instrument readings as long as they are accurate? Food for thought

Well,
I've ordered the Comnav Speed/Depth/Temp/Log and Wind instruments, still thinking that I don't really need an integrated instrument package. Reasons: only need a depth guage while anchoring, speed is backed up with GPS reading, wind readings good for refining GPS/Mapping but not necessary. Then comes the next batch of questions; Mapping software? Chart display vs. PC display? Pertinance of radar integration? any help would be appreciated. thnx
