Its been a while since the original post but thought I would add my two cents. Solar panels in general are all pretty well built and usually all are offered with a 20 year warranty. My preference though is for Kyrocera panels. Two we bought 8 years ago and they are still doing just fine, the other two are only a year and a half old but good too. Well made. One cruiser here in Panama had a warranty issue with two of his Kyrocera panels. Kyrocera Fedex'ed him two brand new panels to Panama and even sent a return Fedex shipping label for the two defective panels. How's that for customer service!

David, what size Kyocera panels do you have? I'm looking at installing a 135W panel on top my dodger. I also want to put 2 panels on the side rails and make them easily removable. I'm thinking smaller panels (85W) would be better so I can stow them below.

We have two Kyrocera 120 watt panels on the arch and two 130 watt panels on top of the dodger/bimini, totally 500 watts. If doing the side rail I think the 85 to 100 watt panels are better sized, they're not as heavy and bulky as the larger panels.
