Halyard Help

Postby builder » Wed May 16, 2018 10:26 am

Good try yesterday to remove Fabiola’s furled jib.

We got it 1/4 down & out of the furling track and that was it. The halyard won’t budge in either direction now.

This becomes the 2nd reason I have to want to look at the top of the mast. (I also am replacing the standing rigging and want to take the pieces off 1 by 1 to make & install new ones.)

So my question is if anyone has pictures of what the top of the mast is supposed to look like including the rigging connection tangs . I am wondering about sizes of rope and pulleys to get mine moving again.

Thanks for any and all comments and ideas.

Good day.

Which furler do you have?
I have heard that some of the set screws in the foils can back out and snag the sail on some models.

I will dig out some pics of our Kennyon mast and post here.

Cheers!
