We had a problem with our turtle where the inside was going soft. The use of Smiths CPES injected into the cavity took care of the issue. We did the injection after removing the compound from between the teak decking. This allowed us to flow the CPES into the underlying material (plywood in our case). Ultimately this solves a small leak issue, strengthened the hatch and will prevent further rotting. Of course we could have pulled all the teak decking off, replaced the plywood and rebuilt the hatch, but then we never would have seen the dock line cast off. The added weight of the epoxy didn't seem to effect performance at all.
