HC 38 Telstar Chainplate/Hull Question

Hello all,

I recently looked at a 1987 38' Telstar Keel and noticed the area where the chainplates bolt to the hull is pulled in significantly more than I have seen on other boats. I would say there was about 1" of deflection from the rest of the hull. I haven't seen any other 38s to compare this to so I was hoping someone could chime in with some insight if this is normal or an area which may need to be addressed..
