Our 43T had suffered from prop shaft whip when the engine revs were above 2750, I believed this was a result of a long prop shaft of inadequate diameter, the previous owner had tried to address the vibration by fitting a Aquadrive unit thereby shortening the shaft, unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. I decided it would be beneficial to add further support to the shaft bay adding an additional cutlass bearing to the inboard end of the stern tube. The attached article describes how this was done.
