HC 34

I would like to know owners thoughts on a 1974 HC 34. Boat is listed as early hull number so it was one of the first built. Where are the problem areas in a H C of this vintage?

Hi Martein,

I don't know from experience but we have met people with early 70's HC's and the big difference seems to the that the decks are not fiberglass covered in teak, but rather all wood decks. Leaks can be common. Use caution.

What is the hull number, or better yet where is the listing. I own an HC34 Hull #27

Bill (above) is correct. On this hull the deck and cabin top is wood. Not sure how that really reflects anything good or bad, as long as it has been taken care of.

Otherwise an inspection would let you know if this is the one you want.

Not sure if we have been in contact before. My HC34 is also for sale. See the posting under the boats for sale section.

I have owned it since it was new. Have done extensive sailing. I'm getting older, plus the slip fess are more than my mortgage
