HC 33 Companionway Hatch Cover

Hi again all. I’d like to refinish my sliding hatch and it appears I would need to remove the hatch cover to get to the back end of it. Has anyone else done this? Is it simply a matter of removing the 6 or so screws that are covered by bungs on the top of the hatch cover and pulling the hatch cover off?

Too funny, I am traveling to the boat (Puerto Rico) in November to do the same job as you.
If you do it before Nov 1st can you put pictures here or comment how easy or difficult it was to remove the cover?
