I am getting to be an experienced owner. I purchased a 1979 38T in September. From what I read about what the one you are looking at is like, I am really happy with the deal I got. I had mine professionally surveyed, which I'm glad I did. We found no rot, no soft decks, of course mine had the teak decking removed long ago, if it ever had any to begin with. The engine has 51 hours on it, ya that's right. It's been sitting pretty much for the better part of 10 years, and was filthy, stunk and needed a lot of TLC. All the issues in my book are minor and things I can handle myself. I gave less than %40 of what they are asking for the boat you are looking at. Another 38 my surveyor found, Tillie, was listed in 2014 for $119,000 and sold for $88,000. That boat if you search online for the sales video walk thru, is decked out and from what I see, ready to go.
